A village expects us – together we work, spend our freetime and exchange views
The Protestant parish of Paplitz/Baruth and the village Paplitz need our assistance with renovating the Youth Hostel of the church. In 2018 the camp is running for its 9th time!

Since 2004, EYS has helped the parish with painting and restoring the sleeping and common rooms of the parish hostel. In 2016/2017 the hostel has bee fully renovated by commercial firms. We will live in the fully renovated house and relax while playing table tennis or sitting around a bonfire in the garden. Our working project is to improve the village infrastructure. Participants will work for six hours per day, e.g. from 8 am to 2 pm, but of course there will be breaks, too.

The village of Paplitz has around 360 inhabitants and is located about 80 kilometers south of Berlin.
After work, in our common free time we can skate on a 100 km skating path, visit the museum village of Glashütte, go by bike to the Zech quarry pond or take a trip to Berlin or Potsdam. We will not only do excursions, but also do group activities depending on your interests and your ideas. We are happy if you bring with you games, songs, music, dances, workshops, topics and pictures. We are looking forward to your ideas for our free time and group activities. With your engagement our afternoons and evenings will be a great experience for all of us.
